CASCADING STYLE SHEETS AND ADVANCED WEB AUTHORING Orhan Mc Millan of Dezins recently completed the Mastering Web Design / Advanced Web Authoring class at Louisiana State University.
Recently the World Wide Web Consortium (www.w3.org) developers of specifications, guidelines, software and tools for the web, implemented the standard that websites be developed using CSS 2.1.
By using this new format, presentation style and content are separated thus simplifying authoring and more control over site maintenance. Another great advantage of this new format allows websites to be more versatile in their media browsers including mobile, handheld and multi-media devices.

SUPPORTING THE BURMA HUMANITARIAN MISSION Dezins recently made a donation to the Burma Humanitarian Mission.
Burma is a country composed of diverse peoples and cultures struggling for freedom from a brutal military junta.
The Burmese people suffer some of the very worst living condition and as a result of their government's oppresion, Burma is ranked as 190 of 191 surveyed nations in terms of its ability to care for the medical and health needs of its population.
Between 1 million and 2 million people have fled their homes and now hide in the Burmese jungles or exist in refugee camps inside Thailand.
BHM is dedicated to providing immediate humanitarian medical assistance to the Karen tribes in eastern Burma and the camps.
